Since 2018, he has created engaging and informative private music lessons for students of all ages and ambitions.

As an instrumentalist, Jake has played hundreds of gigs over the past 13 years. Multiple original/cover bands performing sets of every genre, playing in churches all across Arizona, festivals with thousands of people, touring the west coast with a hip-hop band, playing jazz at the Tempe Center for the Arts (performance found in the videos tab) and many more. He has collaborated with many artists over the years, some names including: Hyperbella, PK Tha Poet, youwontlikemymusic, Prime Society, Rio Grande, Dean Nelson, and Dougie Drew. Jake is also a session musician, recording with artists at Scottsdale Music Company, Saltmine Studio Oasis and Sonic Ranch.

Carly Bates is a musician, educator, and artistic collaborator based in Phoenix, Arizona creating with all kinds of storytellers: musicians, movers, poets, and theatre artists. She has a background in classical, jazz, and popular styles of piano, a multi-threaded music lineage which she shares with those eager to learn. Carly is active as an educator who offers private piano lessons, has taught at the ASU Popular Music Program, and offered classes and workshops with The Nash, Girls Rock PHX, and Paradise Valley Community College. Alongside her teaching practice, Carly performs regularly with her original project Hyperbella, Pariah Pete and the Mercuries, and a local theatre company called Playback Arizona.

With over five years of experience in teaching private studio instruction, Mac teaches Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, and Voice lessons. She has a passion for assisting students in finding their voice while curating an individualized studio instruction plan that fits each student’s goals.
Within the duo, she is the primary singer but she also provides instrumentals on piano for a variety of performance locations.
